How we work

Five steps, all in writing. You know the scope, the price and the dates before any work starts.

  1. 01

    Consultation at home

We measure the rooms, check the subfloor's moisture and flatness, look at stairs and transitions, and bring samples so you can see them in your own light.

  2. 02

    Written quote

An itemized quote: materials, preparation, installation, removal and disposal. HST is shown separately; there are no extra fees added later.

  3. 03

    Agreement

Scope, materials, start date and payment schedule in writing. In Ontario, if an estimate is part of your contract, the final price cannot go more than 10% over it without your approval.

  4. 04

    Installation

Rooms and doorways protected, dust controlled, the site left tidy at the end of each day. If we find something under the old floor that changes the plan, we tell you and agree it in writing before continuing.

  5. 05

    Walk-through

We go over the finished floor with you and leave care instructions for the finish and products we used.

In a condo

In a condo, ask your management office for the flooring rules early. Most buildings set a minimum sound rating for underlays under hard floors and require bookings for elevators and loading. We work to those rules and can speak to management with you.
